New details have come out about the tragic death of Celeste Rivas, and they are deeply upsetting.
A medical examiner in Los Angeles has ruled that the 14-year-old’s death was a homicide. This update comes after the arrest of D4vd, who is 21 years old. He has been charged with murder, continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14, and unlawful mutilation of human remains. He has pleaded not guilty.
An autopsy report shared by TMZ revealed that Celeste died from multiple penetrating injuries. The report described two wounds on her torso. One injury to her upper abdomen reached the liver, while another on her chest went deep enough to affect the ribs. The examiner noted that these injuries “may represent sharp force injuries.”
That wording stands out. It leaves some room for interpretation, and it could become an important point during the court case.

The report also explained that her body was badly decomposed when it was found in a car linked to the suspect. This made the investigation more difficult. In addition, her head was partially skeletonized, and one eye was missing. These details are hard to read, but they show just how serious and disturbing this case is.
Toxicology results added another layer to the findings. There was an early indication of substances like methamphetamine and MDMA, but follow-up tests did not confirm them. Alcohol was found in her system, but it was not linked to her death.
This is a heartbreaking case, and it has left many people shaken. A young life was lost in a terrible way, and a family is now dealing with unimaginable pain.
As more information comes out, the focus will likely shift to the courtroom, where every detail will be examined closely. But beyond the legal process, this remains a story about loss, justice, and the need for answers—how do we even begin to process something this painful?
