Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has shared his honest thoughts about love and relationships, saying his lifestyle as a celebrity makes it hard for him to stay committed to one woman.
On the Ada’s Room podcast, he spoke openly about how he sees relationships and why he doesn’t believe in “fairytale love.”
“In a relationship, I care about my partner but not in a fairytale way. I don’t think I can give anybody the fairytale. I even think that the fairytale thing is fake. Human beings are just trying to not accept reality,” he said.
Blaqbonez explained that his career as an artist plays a big role in how he handles relationships. According to him, the music industry brings constant attention and pressure that makes long-term commitment more complicated.
“My lifestyle as an artiste is part of the reasons I can’t give anyone fairytale love. If I was an everyday person that didn’t have to communicate with too many people, it would be easier to dedicate myself to one woman,” he explained.
He added that regular routines can help everyday people build stronger and more stable relationships. In his view, celebrities live a very different life that is harder to balance.
“Because as an everyday person you just go to work and come back home to your woman after closing and repeat. You can create a routine where just one or two people challenge the routine in a year. But being an artist, people challenge your routine every day,” he said.
Blaqbonez also pointed out another challenge he faces as an artist. He believes it is not always easy to find real love because many people around celebrities may have hidden motives.

“It is really difficult to find a genuine relationship. Being an artiste, everybody you meet engineered themselves to be there to meet you. It is crazy because you are supposed to just live and meet random people,” he added.
In conclusion, Blaqbonez believes his fame and lifestyle shape how he views love and commitment, making it hard for him to settle down with just one woman, but is this the reality for many celebrities today?
